Berlin 1911 Vintage Travel Poster
Berlin 1911 Vintage Travel Poster
This nattily-dressed Gutsherr is taking his red-covered Baedeker to the 1911 International Exhibition for Tourism and Foreign Travel. Maybe he runs a travel agency, but then again, maybe he’s planning a trip. He looks pretty sporty, and the first German commercial airship line opened last year in 1910. This outstanding example of turn-of-the-century graphic design recalls a time when travel was still gracious. The t-shirt feels soft and lightweight, with the right amount of stretch. It's comfortable and flattering for all.
